Emerita Resources Reports Deep Intersects at La Romanera

More drill results out today from Emerita Resources.

Emerita Resources Corp. has released additional assay results from the ongoing 2022-2023 delineation drilling program at La Romanera Deposit, part of the company's wholly-owned Iberian Belt West project. The results, which are from La Romanera, show that the deposit continues to extend to depth beyond the existing delineation drilling, with the deepest intercept to date located at approximately 550m below the surface and about 70m below the historical resources footprint of La Romanera deposit, within the central part of the deposit.

The drill hole intersected 28.3m of polymetallic massive sulphides, grading 0.3% Cu, 2.4% Pb, 5.7% Zn, 1.4 g/t Au, and 67.6 g/t Ag, including 5.5m grading 0.3% Cu, 6.6% Pb, 12.0% Zn, 2.5 g/t Au, and 93.9 g/t Ag. Furthermore, drill hole LR107 located approximately 100m east of LR087 intersected 28.6m of polymetallic massive sulphides followed by 8m of chalcopyrite-rich stockwork. Assay results for hole LR107 are pending; however, this provides additional confirmation that the well mineralized massive sulphide mineralization is continuing to depth beyond existing drilling.

The La Romanera Deposit is part of Emerita's wholly-owned Iberian Belt West project, which hosts three previously identified massive sulphide deposits, namely La Infanta, La Romanera, and El Cura. These additional drill results from La Romanera have demonstrated that the deposit continues to extend to depth beyond the existing delineation drilling. As a result, drilling will continue with the objective of expanding resources both laterally and at depth.

Emerita maintains 14 rigs on the IBW project, and additional drilling has commenced in order to expand resources both laterally and at depth. The objective of the company is to obtain sufficient drill hole spacing to allow inclusion of this area within the resource estimate. In addition, borehole geophysics will be employed to map the projection beyond these depths. According to Joaquin Merino-Marquez, P.Geo., Emerita’s President and Director, "The company will drill step outs around holes LR087 and LR107, at a 50m by 50m spacing for resource estimation. Downhole Electromagnetics and mise a la masse will be performed on LR087 and two other existing drillholes to map the extensions of mineralization at depth beyond the current 500m depth."

In conclusion, the additional assay results from Emerita's La Romanera Deposit are a positive development, indicating that the deposit continues to extend to depth beyond the existing delineation drilling. This is a significant milestone for Emerita and a step towards achieving its objective of expanding resources both laterally and at depth. With drilling continuing, we can expect to see more positive results from the IBW project in the future.
